One Day Emergency First Aid at Work
What’s Involved
This course is designed for First Aiders in the workplace and complies with all current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1982.
Certificates are valid for three years.

- Control of bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Diabetic emergencies
- Sprains, strains, fractures and dislocations
- Seizures
- Head injuries
- Shock
- Fainting
- Eye injuries
- Asthma
- Choking
- Poisons and gases
- Allergic reactions
- Angina and Heart Attack
- Illness
- Treatment of the unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation (CPR)
Assessment
Assessment is by both practical and written examination, monitored by external assessors. On the final day of the course the assessment is carried out by a Doctor and a senior trainer.
